My details in Section 1 can be put in to the next edition of 'A Taste of Staffordshire Local Food Directory'. It is anticipated that 50,000 copies of this directory will be produced and promoted around Staffordhire.

Declaration:
  • Producers and retailers should be located either inside Staffordshire or within 10 miles of its boundary.
  • Produce (or a minimum of 10% of any ingredients in 'value' added products) must have originated in Staffordshire or within 10 miles of its boundary.
  • All entries should be registered as food businesses with their local Environmental Health Department and subject to inspection under Food Safety legislation.
  • All producers should comply with the Food Safety (General Food Hygeine) Regulations 1995 and the provisions of the Food Safety Act 1990.
  • Products you sell must be marked and priced according to legal requirements.
  • Produce and products must be traceable to the producer.
  • Labelling should be honest and informative and no unsubstantiated claims should be made. Only certified 'Organic' produce can be traded under an Organic Label.
  • We aim to promote healthy eating and would encourage producers to highlight the benefits of fresh, good quality and wholesome produce.
  • The partnership that has compiled this directory reserves the right to audit those businesses and producers to ensure that they conform to the Rules of Eligibility. Inclusion is at the discretion of the partnership.
